ENGLISH VOCABULARY FOR IBPS AND SSC

1.Assemblage : 
Synonyms : Gathering , assembly
Antonyms : Dispersal, scattering
Explanation : An assemblage of people or things is a collection of them.
Example : He had an assemblage of old junk cars filling the backyard.

2.  Boorish 
Synonyms: rustic, loutish
Antonyms: civilized , gentle
Explanation: Boorish behavior is rough, uneducated, and rude.
Example: their boorish rejection of the ageing movie star.
 
3.Callous 
Synonyms: insensitive, cruel, unfeeling
Antonyms: sensitive, pathetic
Explanation : A callous person or action is very cruel and shows no concern for other people or their feelings.
Example : his callous disregard for human life.

4.Choleric 
Synonyms: bad – tempered
Antonyms: cool , poised
Explanation : A choleric person gets angry very easily. You can also use choleric to describe a person who is very angry.
Example : his choleric disposition.

5.Coalition 
Synonyms: alliance, league, union
Antonyms : disruption, split
Explanation : A coalition is a government consisting of people from two or more political parties.
Example : Since june the country has had a coalition government.

Antonyms : modest, sociable

Explanation : The people who are attending a church service or who regularly attend a church service are referred to as the congregation.
Example : Most members of the congregation begin arriving a few minutes before services.

Antonyms : churlish , rude
Explanation: Some who is courteous is polite and respectful to other people.
Example : He was a kind and courteous man.


 9.Delectation 
Synonyms : delight, joy
Antonyms : sorrow , grief
Explanation : If you do something for someone’s delectation, you do it to give them enjoyment or pleasure.
