Experts From SAARC To Meet In Delhi To Strengthen Anti-Terror Mechanism

The second meeting of high level group of eminent experts from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries will be held on September 22-23, 2016 in New Delhi.The aim of the meeting is to strengthen the SAARC anti-terror mechanism. The agenda of the meeting includes functioning of a SAARC Terrorist Offences Monitoring Desk (STOMD) and a SAARC Drug Offences Monitoring Desk (SDOMD), countering terrorism and strengthening anti-terrorism mechanisms in SAARC, intelligence sharing and police cooperation, human resource development and relationship building, combating corruption and cyber crimes, among others.

People Can Directly Greet PM Through APP On Birthday Tomorrow
Using a special section of the Narendra Modi App, people can directly greet the Prime Minister tomorrow when he turns 66.The special section enables people to send their wishes directly to Modi, sources said in New Delhi today.People can send their wishes in the form of a customised greeting card through the NM App. They can use their own photos with the PM in making this card, the sources added.Once the card is sent, a user gets a personalised video in return, they said, adding this is easily shareable and will act as a unique souvenir.

Supreme Court Sets Aside Green Tribunal Ruling On Metro Construction

 Metro projects will not need to wait for environmental clearances, the Supreme Court said today, staying an order issued in May by the National Green Tribunal or NGT.In its order on May 31, the National Green Tribunal had said the eastern and western dedicated railway corridors being built did not possess environmental clearances and no environmental impact assessment had been done.
